Hands Up!

Aim
To prevent and reduce future drug use by building self esteem, increasing knowledge and to look at the attitudes of Year 3 children.

Objectives
Raise awareness of similarities and differences in order to help pupils’ recognise their uniqueness and to encourage them to feel special.

Touch briefly on the issues of medicines and safety, stranger-danger and alcohol to encourage pupils’ to recognise potential risks to safety of self and others from people, situations.

Pupils: “We’re always special, even when someone is mean to us.”

Teachers: “Helpful linking of different aspects of the PHSE curriculum.”

Teachers: “Very impressed, very suitable for Y3 – they really enjoyed it.”
